PHOENIX, Arizona (Jan. 5, 2026) - After three days of group play at the 2026 US Youth Soccer ODP Far West Championships, four Cal North ODP teams are left standing and will be playing for the regional ODP title.
The 2012 Girls are scheduled to play at 8:00 AM MST against Cal South. The team led by Coach Bryan Holland remains undefeated through three games, beating Arizona, North Texas and Colorado. While they did accumulate three clean sheets in group stage and have yet to allow a goal in the tournament, the game against Arizona was the only time they scored more than one goal. They will be facing Cal South in the final.
The 2011 Girls have outscored their opponents in group play 11-0. Led by Coach James Pierce, they have beaten Arizona, Utah and Washington and will now face a familiar foe - Cal South. They have history with Cal South, as both teams played against each other in the 2024 ODP Championships with the in-state rivals taking the win. This group retained a strong core of players and will look to even out the series against our neighbors from down south.
The only boys team to reach the Final are the 2011 Boys led by experienced Coach German Plaza. Profe Plaza has this group playing a good brand of soccer, beating Colorado and Idaho, while drawing against Cal South. In the final they will face Washington, who also managed two wins against Utah and Hawaii and drew Arizona in group stage.
The fourth and final team are the 2010 Girls led by Coach Garrett Morgan. Coach Morgan has tasted glory with this team at this same event multiple times, winning it all in 2023 and 2024. They are going for their third title in four years as a group since they've been competing at the ODP Championship. Their opponent will be Cal South, who will be a first time opponent in the Final as in 2023 they beat Hawaii and in 2024 it was Utah.
