      Try-Out Format

There are total of (12) hours of try-outs, (3 different dates, 2- sessions per day, each session is 2 hours long). Attending every try-out session is NOT Mandatory, however if you fail to attend one of the first sessions and then you get ill, injured or have a club team conflict later in the try-out process, you may be eliminating yourself by virtue of not participating earlier on.  We highly recommend you attend the first session possible in order to avoid any scheduling conflicts later in the process.  (Cal North reserves the right to cancel a try-out, if deemed necessary for the health and safety of the players and staff).

      Refund Policy

Because ODP Try-Outs require a recommendation, it is highly recommended that you check with your coach or club Director PRIOR to signing up and confirming that they will sign your form. There is no refund for those who register and fail to gain the required signature prior to try-outs. Insure you will be recommended, BEFORE you register.

There is No refund after July with the exception of injury. (This includes those who register after July.) Refunds for injuries will require a Medical letter from the treating Physician, and must state that the player is “unable to play soccer” due to the treating injury through September 10th. Please submit this letter to the Cal North office, within 3 working days of the injury to begin the refund process. Refunds for injuries (or any portion of the try-out fee) will not be issued if a player has already participated in a try-out session.

      Concussion Policy

Any player that has been suspected of or being treated for a concussion must follow the Cal North Concussion Protocol Policy set forth by the Cal North BOD. No exceptions.

Again, we strongly encourage players to get to the first set of try-outs in order to avoid conflicts, future injury or loss of try-out fees. If you have any questions regarding the refund policy, please contact the Cal North office, prior to registering.

      Player Check-In

All players need to check-in at the event desk to get their try-out number. You only need to do this ONE time, because we EXPECT you to keep this number and use it at all the dates you attend.  DO NOT throw it away or lose it.    After you have received your try-out number, you will proceed to the assigned field location for your age/gender. After the first try-out, just go to the location assigned for your age/gender and be ready to play at the appropriate times.

      Absences

If you know you will be missing one of the Sessions, it would be great if you can let us know, and we can pass on that information to the Head Coaches.  This way they know they can plan on seeing you on another date.  Please complete this link to let us know: Absent Report Coming Soon

      COVID-19 Procedures and Restrictions

All players and parents will be expected to follow any/all Covid 19 Policies and Procedures that are in place during the try-Out process.  Everyone will be notified in advance and the most up to date policies and procedures will be posted on this page.
