      MLS NEXT Soccer Coach - Roseville Youth Soccer Club

      Job Title: MLS NEXT Soccer Coach
      Employment Classification: Part-time
      Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Coaching

      WORK EXPECTATIONS

      The Coach agrees to fulfill all responsibilities necessary to operate the assigned team consistent with Club standards and any additional work will not hinder or detract from the quality or obligations of coaching the team.

      Training Responsibilities

      Coach shall conduct:

      • A minimum of three (3) scheduled training sessions per week
      • All assigned training sessions
      • All required team activities

      Coach shall:

      • Plan and deliver organized training sessions
      • Implement Club curriculum and game model
      • Maintain professional coaching standards
      • Communicate consistently with players and families
      • Support player development

      Competition Responsibilities

      Coach shall:

      • Attend and coach all scheduled games
      • Attend all tournaments and competitions
      • Prepare players for competition
      • Manage substitutions and playing time
      • Represent the Club professionally

      Player Development

      Coach shall:

      • Evaluate players
      • Support player development through Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
      • Provide feedback to families
      • Follow Club technical standards

      Minimum requirement:

      Two (2) player evaluations per year.

      Club Responsibilities

      Coach shall participate in:

      • Tryouts and identification events
      • Team formation meetings
      • Club meetings
      • Coaching education
      • Club events
      • Staff communication

      Coach Licensing

      Coach shall hold a minimum of

      • US Soccer C

      WORK SCHEDULE

      Typical weekly schedule may include:

      • Three (3) to four (4) training sessions
      • One (1) to two (2) games
      • Video review
      • Communication with players and staff
      • Weekly or monthly meetings

      Peak workload periods include:

      • Tryouts
      • Tournaments
      • Showcases
      • Playoffs

      Workload may vary throughout the season and off-season.

      TRAVEL AND EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT

      Travel reimbursement shall follow the official:

      Roseville Soccer Club Expense Reimbursement Policy

      Mileage reimbursement eligibility begins when travel exceeds:

      35 driving miles from the Club’s primary training facility

      Lodging eligibility begins when travel exceeds:

      80 driving miles

      Airfare eligibility begins when travel exceeds:

      200 driving miles

      Required Approvals

      The following expenses require advance approval:

      • Airfare
      • Lodging
      • Vehicle rental
      • Extended travel

      Expenses not approved in advance may not be reimbursed.

      Meal Reimbursement

      Maximum reimbursement:

      $25 per meal

      Up to three (3) meals per day

      Alcohol is not reimbursable.

      ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

      Coach must attend:

      • All scheduled training sessions
      • All games
      • All tournaments
      • All required meetings

      Failure to fulfill assigned duties may result in:

      • Reduction of stipend
      • Written disciplinary action
      • Temporary suspension
      • Reassignment
      • Termination of Agreement

      CODE OF CONDUCT

      The Coach agrees to follow the:

      Roseville Soccer Club Code of Conduct

      The Coach shall:

      • Demonstrate sportsmanship
      • Maintain professionalism
      • Promote player safety
      • Respect players and families
      • Support a positive team environment

      1PLAYER SAFETY

      Coach shall:

      • Prioritize player safety
      • Follow SafeSport requirements
      • Report incidents immediately
      • Follow Club policies and procedures

      The Club maintains authority to investigate complaints through:

      Complaint Resolution and Disciplinary Committee (PAD)

      Decisions of the committee are final and enforceable.

      OUTSIDE COACHING ACTIVITIES

      Coach shall not:

      • Coach for another club
      • Operate competing programs
      • Provide private training to Club players

      Without written approval from the Club.

      NON-SOLICITATION

      During employment and for:

      twelve (12) months following termination

      The Coach shall not:

      • Recruit players to another club
      • Recruit teams
      • Solicit staff

      Without written approval.

      EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY

      All Club property remains property of the Club, including:

      • Uniforms
      • Equipment
      • Technology
      • Training materials
      • Keys
      • Club-issued items

      All Club property must be returned within: seven (7) calendar days of termination of employment

      PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

      The Club may conduct:

      • 30-60-90 evaluation
      • Performance evaluations twice yearly
      • Technical reviews as needed
      • Program assessments

      Failure to meet standards may result in:

      • Corrective action
      • Reassignment
      • Termination

      Additional Assignments and Supplemental Compensation

      The Coach acknowledges that the seasonal stipend compensates the Coach for all normal team responsibilities associated with the assigned team. From time to time, the Club may request that the Coach perform additional duties beyond the standard responsibilities of the assigned team.

      Additional assignments may include, but are not limited to:

      • Camps and clinics
      • Assistant for another MLS NEXT Team
      • Tryouts or identification events
      • Additional team assignments
      • Tournament coverage beyond the normal team schedule
      • Travel assignments
      • Club events or special programming
      • Administrative or technical assignments
      • Coaching education or staff development activities
      • Director-approved special projects

      Participation in additional assignments is subject to the operational needs of the Club and may not be required for all coaches.

      Approval Requirement

      All additional assignments and any associated compensation must be approved in advance by the Club or the Coach’s designated supervisor.

      The Coach understands and agrees that:

      • Additional compensation is not automatic
      • Compensation must be authorized prior to the assignment
      • Verbal or written direction from a Director or authorized supervisor constitutes approval
      • Completion of additional duties without prior approval does not guarantee additional compensation

      Discretionary Compensation

      Compensation for additional assignments is determined at the discretion of the Club and may vary based on:

      • Scope of work
      • Duration of assignment
      • Level of responsibility
      • Travel requirements
      • Program needs
      • Budget availability

      The Club reserves the right to determine the amount and structure of supplemental compensation for additional assignments.

      Nothing in this Agreement guarantees supplemental compensation for any assignment beyond the standard responsibilities covered by the seasonal stipend.

      Communication of Compensation

      Whenever possible, the Club will communicate the compensation structure for additional assignments prior to the start of the assignment.

      Compensation for additional assignments may be structured as:

      • Hourly pay
      • Per-session rate
      • Per-event rate
      • Daily rate
      • Stipend supplement
      • Flat project rate

      The method and amount of compensation will be determined by the Club based on the nature of the assignment.

      No Overtime or Additional Compensation Guarantee

      Unless required by law, additional assignments do not automatically qualify for overtime or additional compensation beyond the terms approved by the Club.

      The Coach acknowledges that:

      • Workload may vary throughout the season
      • Some assignments may be considered part of professional responsibilities
      • Not all assignments will result in supplemental compensation

      Scope of Compensation

      The seasonal stipend compensates the Coach for all normal team responsibilities, including but not limited to:

      • Training sessions
      • Matches and tournaments
      • Team communication
      • Planning and preparation
      • Player evaluations
      • Administrative responsibilities
      • Meetings and staff coordination
      • Club responsibilities
      • Assistant Coach

      Additional compensation may be provided for:

      • Camps
      • Clinics
      • Additional team assignments
      • Director-approved work

      No additional compensation is guaranteed unless approved in writing prior to any work completed.

      Pay: From $1,500.00 per month

      District Administrator

      Job Title: District Administrator
      Employment Classification: This is a contract position.
      Reporting Structure: Reports to the Executive Director

      Job Summary
      Under direction of the Executive Director, the District Administrator will be responsible for directing growth in several programs
      operated within the district. This position will help with marketing and creating budgets. In addition, this position will be
      responsible for the following: financial performance of identified programs, planning and implementation of California Select
      League, District Cup, Jr Cup or Association Cup. The District Administrator will be expected to travel the district to ensure
      programs and events are best in class for the membership. This position will supervise a variety of employment classifications as
      determined by the Executive Director.

      Minimum Qualifications
      ● A BA or BS degree in Business or Sports Management or other similar degree. A minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory position overseeing programs related to business or sports management may be substituted for the degree requirement.
      ● Possession of a US Soccer B Coaching License

      Minimum Technical Requirements
      Must be proficient in word and spreadsheet documents; must be willing to learn and become proficient in new software programs as they relate to the operations of Cal North.

      General Duties and Responsibilities
      ● Establishing dates, locations, and formats for all competitions
      ● Developing standards for competitions and levels of play for District, Leagues, Clubs, Coaches, Players, and Parents
      ● Directing various events including, but not limited to, California Select League, District Cup, Jr Cup or Association Cup,
      and other events related to District administrator.
      ● Development of planning standards, staffing requirements, and budgets with Executive Director
      ● Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director

      situations.

      ● US Soccer “A” Coaching license
