I’m a California native with deep roots in the Bay Area. Born in Oakland, grew up in Livermore, and following a few brief stopovers in Hayward, Fremont, and Dublin, I have lived in San Ramon for the past 43 years. My family is everything to me. I come from a family of five children whose mom and dad instilled in them the love of sports and the outdoors. I’ve been married for 45 years to the man I met at my best friend’s wedding (he caught the garter; I caught the bouquet, so I guess it was fate!) We have three grown children (oldest son and his girlfriend in Oregon, daughter, and son-in-law in Washington, the youngest son in Fairfield.) Our first grandbaby is on the way. We love camping and doing DIY projects at home. Volunteerism has been an integral part of my life through many different organizations, but the common denominator has always been about serving our youth. I’ve been involved in CYSA Cal North soccer as a volunteer since 1983; first at the local club level, then at the district level, and finally at the state level. I started working as a Cal North staff member in 1999. It’s been my pleasure to be “at your service” for these past two decades. The wonderful people I’ve met through my involvement in soccer has enriched my life immeasurably.
I'm the technical director for Cal North and bring a variety of past experiences to my role. I've had roles with WUSA as the COO and the GM for the San Diego Spirit. I'm a licensed USSF Grassroots Instructor and served as Executive Director and Technical Director for Ballistic United.
I'm a Pleasanton native, that played youth soccer for Ballistic United. I've also played collegiate, and professional soccer as well as for the USMNT and two US Olympic Teams in 1984 and 1988. I have an older brother, 2 younger sisters, and am married to my high school sweetheart for 35 years! I have 3 kids (1 in Atlanta, 1 in Sacramento, 1 in Germany). My dad played with the Oakland Raiders and the last Cal bears 59' Rose Bowl game. My favorite rock band of all time are The Eagles. I love Mexican food, and my favorite president is none else but Abe Lincoln!
