Young Olympians Program

The Young Olympians Program (YOP) aims to create a high-level training environment, offering participants opportunities to train and compete with aspiring players from across the state. YOP features a 10 month supplemental training calendar tailored to the  specific age groups and developmental goals identified to assist in the  preparation of players to enter the Olympic Development Program (ODP). The YOP Program is managed and administered under the umbrella of the ODP (Olympic Development Program).

The Young Olympians Program (YOP) will run concurrently with Olympic Development Program (ODP) tryouts and training days. YOP is a supplemental program designed to prepare, develop, and identify future players for the ODP program. Each YOP Play date will consist of a morning and an afternoon session, similar to the ODP training schedules.

The training methodology will include games-based progressive training sessions in the morning, focused on specific age-appropriate technical concepts identified as key areas of importance for rising ODP players. This will be followed by skills acquisition sessions that implement the concepts taught in the morning. The afternoons will have a larger focus on game application, featuring full-sided matches and scrimmages to reinforce the morning's lessons and provide practical, competitive experience.

Program goals for the 2025-2026 season will include:
      - (10) Play Days (August - April)

      - Full schedule posted under "Schedule"  in the drop down menu below.
      - February Event (Cal North Friendlies with 3 other State ODP programs) Travel team chosen from those who participated in Play dates.
