Welcome to the Cal North State Cup 2022 presented by Raley's

SACRAMENTO, CA (April 9, 2022) — Welcome to the 2022 Cal North State Cup presented by Raley’s!

The State Cup is named in recognition of the older age groups, U13-U19, who have been competing in California Youth Soccer Association since 1969. The winners of this competition get automatic entry into the prestigious 2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships taking place in Boise, Idaho this summer. The runner-up of this tournament gets to attend the 2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup in Phoenix, Arizona in June as well. We are very excited to see the high level of competition involved in this tournament and feel honored to be able to host such an event.

The 2022 Cal North State Cup presented by Raley's is scheduled at Cherry Island in Rio Linda, CA on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10. The competition this year is composed of ages U14-U16 boys only, with four teams in each bracket, playing a round robin style tournament. Each team will play three games, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. The team with the best point differential at the end of the final game on Sunday, April 10 will be crowned the winner and earn their spot in Idaho, while the second place team will be going to Arizona. Once again, welcome to the 2022 Cal North State Cup presented by Raley’s! On behalf of the Cal North’s staff, the Board of Directors, and the most competitive youth soccer players that we honor at this event, we wish you and your team the best of luck!

Check-in Process

Check-in will begin one hour before the first game. Upon check-in, teams will need to provide the Cup staff with a printed game roster and current player passes including the players’ numbers and names and also approved coaches and managers (no handwritten rosters will be accepted). Please update your event team roster in GotSport if you have not done so yet. Game cards will be provided by the Cup Staff. Game cards will need to include the player/coach names and numbers which means you must upload your players into GotSport if you haven’t already. If you don’t have a GotSport account, please reach out to your local member services representative listed below to help you with this process.
