SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (June 17, 2024) - Lamorinda SC and JASA RWC Jrs. have reached the final stage of the 2024 Far West Regional Championships 12U Event in Salt Lake City, Utah. Both teams came out victorious in today's semifinal games against their respective opponents.

Lamorinda started the tournament with a 2-2 result against Eastside Timbers (Oregon), followed by two dominating wins of 5-0 and 7-2 over Eastside FC (Washington) and Titans FC Inland Empire G2012 (Cal South). In the semifinals, Lamorinda defeated one of the most dominating teams of the tournament in Real Colorado.

Real Colorado came into this semifinal game with a perfect mark of 4 games, 4 wins and 41 goals scored. All this without conceding a single goal in the tournament. The Colorado side ran into a stingy and stubborn team in Lamorinda, who was able to come back several times during the game and top it off with a dramatic 4-3 win.

Lamorinda SC United 2012 Pre-GA will play Utah Celtic FC 12G in the Regional Championship, who beat Boise Timbers in a close 1-0 game. Utah Celtic went 3 for 3 during group stage, scoring 11 goals while only conceding 1.

On the Boys side, JASA RWC Jrs. 2012B went undefeated in group stage scoring a total of 26 goals while conceding 6 across three games. Keahi Soccer Club U12B (Hawai'i), Cook Inlet Soccer Club 2012 Boys Elite (Alaska) and CASA FC Inter 2012 Boys (Colorado) were the group stage opponents.

It took JASA RWC Jrs. a tremendous effort in the semifinals to beat a talented Idaho Rush Soccer Club 2012 Blue team. The Idaho team scored first within the first 10 minute, but JASA answered right back to level the game. A 1-1 scoreline after regular time extended the game with JASA conceding in the first half of extra time and going down once again. In a matter of 3 minutes, JASA RWC Jrs. found a relentless inspiration to overcome the deficit and turn the score around, netting two goals and winning the game in dramatic fashion to move on to the Championship game.

JASA RWC Jrs. will go head-to-head for the Regional title against Seattle United B12 Copa. The Washington team went 3 for 3 in group stage, scoring 17 goals and conceding 1. In the semifinals, Seattle United beat Cal South team in Oxnard FC.
