MINNEAPOLIS (May 29, 2026)― Cal North Soccer is giving Northern California soccer fans the opportunity to experience the world’s biggest sporting event live through the Cal North World Cup Tickets Giveaway: Video Contest.
Beginning May 29, 2026, soccer fans across the community are invited to submit a 30–45 second video sharing their passion for the beautiful game for a chance to win two tickets to a World Cup match in the Bay Area. Three lucky winners will ultimately be selected through a community voting process on Instagram.
The contest is designed to celebrate the stories, passion, and impact soccer has within communities throughout Northern California — from players and parents to coaches, referees, and lifelong supporters of the game.
Participants are encouraged to submit authentic and creative videos answering prompts such as:
What does soccer mean to you?
How has soccer impacted your life or community?
Why do you want to attend the World Cup?
What makes your passion for the game special?
“We know soccer is more than just a sport — it brings people together, creates opportunity, and builds lifelong memories,” said Marley Wilson, Cal North Executive Director. “With the World Cup coming to the Bay Area, we wanted to create a fun and meaningful opportunity for our community to share their stories and be part of this historic moment.”
HOW TO ENTER
To participate, entrants must:
● Complete the official submission form
● Upload a 30–45 second vertical video
● Follow @calnorthsoccer on Instagram
● Share their video and tag @calnorthsoccer
The top six video submissions will be selected as finalists and featured on Instagram, where Cal North followers will vote to determine the three grand prize winners.
GIVEAWAY PERIOD
The giveaway begins on May 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM PST and ends on June 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST.

PRIZES
Each winner will receive:
● Two (2) tickets to a World Cup match in the Bay Area
No travel, transportation, parking, lodging, meals, hospitality, or additional expenses are included with the prize. Winners will receive only the tickets specified in the giveaway and are solely responsible for all other costs associated with attending the event. Winners must be located in the Bay Area to receive tickets.
