SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Tuesday, August 12, 2025) - Cal North is excited to announce that Cal North Presidents Cup will be open to all US Soccer affiliate members for the 2025-2026 season.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
US Youth Soccer sub-regional Presidents Cup events will determine the qualifiers that will compete in the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup. Sub-regional winners in the 13U through 19U groups, both boys and girls, will vie for the national title.
Note: The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is a separate series of events from the US Youth Soccer National Championships, presented by New York Life. Contact your State Association for more information regarding your state’s US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup event.
For the first time ever, US Youth Soccer will be expanding it's regional format from four regions to eight sub-regions. This is for the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup pathway only. See the eight sub-regions below along with dates & locations for competition in 2026.
To ensure alignment with national competition calendars, all Cal North participating teams must be registered prior to the US Youth Soccer first team drop deadline.
Key requirements for participation include:
• Player passes must be secured.
• All risk management protocols must be completed.
• A team fee (which includes a bond) must be paid in full.
In Northern California, any and all US Soccer affiliate member clubs or teams registered under US Soccer are welcomed to apply. These affiliate organizations include: US Youth Soccer (USYS), American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), US Club Soccer, Soccer Association for Youth (SAY), Development Player League (DPL), USSSA and ANFEEU.
