2022-2023 Young Olympians Program


      The YOP (Young Olympians Program) will take place August 14, September 11 and October 9 at Mistlin Sports Park in Ripon California. These sessions will run concurrently with the State ODP Try-outs for the older players.  Players registering for YOP, must be born in 2012 or 2013.  Please open the links below for all information.

      Important Information

      Eligible Age/Gender

      Boys and Girls born in 2012 and 2013.  Players may need to show proof of age (Birth document). Any player of eligible age that desires the opportunity to participate in a program that will prepare players for the pathway into the Olympic Development Program. Players DO NOT have to be recommended by a club coach for this program.

      Player Eligibility

      Players must be born in the year 2012 and 2013, this program is age pure and does not permit players to play up (2014 birth year or younger) or down (2011 birth year or older). Players may be required to provide a confirmation of birth document.


      All players must Register and pay online.  All players will be required to bring the Medical Release form and submit at check in at your first session attendance.


      $150.00 per player, fee due at the time of Registration. The fee covers all 3 dates (8/14, 9/11 and 10/9)

      Please download this form, complete and bring it to check in on your first day. This formed is used for both Young Olympians and ODP Try-Outs.

      Format and Schedule

      There will be 3 dates offered with (2) 90 minute sessions each day.  You have the option to attend all or any session you wish. The cost will be the same no matter when you register, or how many sessions you attend. So, we encourage you to register prior to August 14 in order to enjoy the benefit of all 6 sessions. These sessions will run concurrent with the State ODP Try-outs


      All training is based around the camp curriculum, but geared toward preparing a player to perform in the ODP environment, the goal being to assess and prepare players to play in an elite program. Players will be permitted to attend (2) sessions a day (see schedule)

      Sunday, August 14

      Boys: 9:30-11:00 and 1:30-3:00

      Girls: 11:30-1:00 and 3:30-5:00


      1v1 attacking moves to beat a player

      Session 1: (1v1 Attacking, moves to beat a player) 90 minutes

      Session 2: (Finishing: 1v1, 2v2 to goal, emphasis on individual attacking to goals and small sided games) 90 minutes

      Sunday, September 11

      Boys: 9:30-11:00 and 1:30-3:00

      Girls: 11:30-1:00 and 3:30-5:00


      2v1 (passing and receiving/combination play) 

      Session 1:(2v1 Passing and receiving, combination play) 90 minutes

      Session 2: (2v2, 3v2 to goal, Small sided games to emphasize combination play) 90 minutes

      Sunday, October 9

      Boys: 9:30-11:00 and 1:30-3:00

      Girls: 11:30-1:00 and 3:30-5:00


      Small sided games tournament-age appropriate play

      Session 1: Small sided Games (4v4) 90 minutes

      Session 2: Age appropriate games (7v7 and 9v9 scrimmages) 90 minutes

      Refund Policy

      There are no refunds after you register unless you are unable to play due to injury that results in the inability to play soccer until after October 9th.  In order to receive an injury refund, you must submit to the Cal North Office a letter from the treating physician that states the following details: Date of Injury, diagnosis of injury, specific statement from the physician that the player cannot play Soccer until after October 9. There is no refund, or portion of, if injured after you have attended a session.

      Concussion Policy

      Any player that has been suspected of or being treated for a concussion must follow the Cal North Concussion Protocol Policy set forth by the Cal North BOD. No exceptions.

      Player Check-In

      All players need to check-in at the event desk. You only need to do this ONE time.  After you have checked in, you will be directed to the designated field. Please bring the required Medical Form to Check in with you.


      If you know you will be missing one of the Sessions, it would be great if you can let us know, and we can pass on that information to the Head Coaches.  This way they know they can plan on seeing you on another date.  Please complete this link to let us know:

      All players and parents will be expected to follow any/all Covid 19 Policies and Procedures that are in place during the try-Out process.  Everyone will be notified in advance and the most up to date policies and procedures will be posted on this page.
