MLS NEXT announces MLS NEXT Cup qualifier dates and locations for Academy Division

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2025)Today MLS NEXT has announced the dates and locations for MLS NEXT Academy teams to qualify to MLS NEXT Cup 2026. 

The MLS NEXT Cup is the championship tournament for the MLS NEXT, featuring the top homegrown & now academy teams from across North America competing to win titles in various age groups (U13 through U19). It serves as the culminating event of the MLS NEXT season.

Teams from Northern California in the Cal North Academy Division will have two events to chose from in their efforts to qualify for MLS NEXT Cup. One in Tucson, Arizona and the other in Mesa, Arizona.

Cal North is the original youth soccer organization in Northern California, who has served generations of players, coaches, leagues, and clubs with storied histories. Cal North is a member of a much larger soccer community, and as a member, you are also a member of this world community. Players register to play with one of the more than 200 clubs or leagues formed by Cal North. Through affiliation, our leagues and clubs are also members of US Youth Soccer, US Soccer, and US Futsal. FIFA serves as the international governing body for soccer and US Soccer has been a member since 1913. Together, local, national and international organizations form a family of support for the young soccer players of Cal North.
