SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Wednesday, April 30, 2025) Cal North Soccer is pleased to announce Amin Fazal as the new District 2 Administrator. In this role, Fazal will oversee district-level soccer programs, ensuring the success and growth of membership, leagues, events, and tournaments within District 2.

Amin’s experience in leading soccer initiatives, managing team operations, and fostering community engagement positions him perfectly for this role. As the current President of the Milpitas Youth Soccer League, he has successfully organized and hosted the District 2 Recreational Cup in partnership with Cal North, further demonstrating his ability to manage events and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. His expertise in budget planning and cloud-based software platforms, combined with his hands-on leadership experience, makes him uniquely qualified to oversee and grow district operations, ensuring the continued success of Cal North’s programs and increasing participation across all levels.

“We are thrilled to welcome Amin to the team, especially as we focus on growing and enhancing programs in District 2—a region with a dense soccer population and immense potential for development,” said Marley Wilson, Executive Director of Cal North Soccer. “Amin’s extensive experience in youth soccer management, combined with his deep connections within the District 2 community, makes him the ideal candidate to lead this area. We are hopeful that his passion for the community will help grow instrumental programs that expand opportunities for youth players in the South Bay Area.”

As District 2 Administrator, Fazal will be responsible for managing membership, leagues, Cups, and tournaments, including the Recreational Play Through League & Tournament, MLS GO, and District Cups. He will also oversee operational support for events, supervise district-level programs, and develop strategies for expanding participation.

In his previous role as a board member for the Milpitas Youth Soccer League and Milpitas Community Education Foundation, Fazal successfully organized large-scale tournaments, increased player participation, and developed initiatives to strengthen community engagement. His experience in business management further aligns with the responsibilities of his new role at Cal North.

With over 20 years of leadership experience and a strong passion for youth and community development, I am committed to using my skills to help Cal North and District 2 grow and thrive,” said Fazal. “I believe in building strong partnerships, encouraging innovative ideas, and creating opportunities that make a difference for our players and communities.

Fazal’s appointment is effective as of May 1, 2025. He will begin his new role by engaging with local clubs and leaders to continue the mission of serving youth soccer players and fostering a positive environment for growth and development.
