Cal North partners with Soccer Sphere, powered by TopYa! to offer all players a complete virtual training experience
Youth soccer players across Northern California are leveling up their skills this spring in a new way with the Cal North Skills Series, presented by Raley’s. Thanks to a new partnership between Cal North and Soccer Sphere, powered by TopYa!, all Cal North players are invited to join an exclusive virtual skills contest. The contest provides an accessible platform for players across the region to showcase their soccer skills, compete with teammates, and connect with real Soccer Sphere coaches for real feedback.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer the Soccer Sphere platform to our players this spring thanks to the hard work and support of the team at Soccer Sphere, powered by TopYa! and Raley’s," said Cal North Technical Director Kevin Crow. "We have all tried lots of virtual coaching and training solutions since last year, and this is definitely one of the best. The players and coaches that are participating are already seeing positive results."
The Skills Series runs through June 13, 2021. With the support of Raley’s and the Sacramento Republic, Cal North players have the chance to win awesome prizes throughout the contest. The Grand Prize includes exclusive tickets and a half-time celebration during a Sac Republic game this summer.
HOW IT WORKS
Players watch professionally produced soccer skill videos, practice the skill or move, and then upload their best attempt through the app. Each video is analyzed and provided individualized coaching feedback from the Soccer Sphere's expert Coach Connect team. Players grow technically, tactically, and psychologically with the program's complete personal development plan.
