FRISCO, Texas (March 18, 2026)― TOPSoccer (TOPS) is a recreational sports program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities offered only through local US Youth Soccer-affiliated soccer clubs.
TOPS provides people with diverse abilities an opportunity to play soccer in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive.
The US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer Spring 2026 Grant Program has a budget of roughly $40,000 following the Fall 2025 grant cycle.
This program is only for new and existing local TOPS programs, not state associations. Grant awards
will be considered in the following priority:
1. Local programs that did not apply in the Fall 2025 grant cycle;
2. Local programs that received grants in the Fall 2025 grant cycle but which did not request
reimbursement by the January 31 deadline (if funding available);
3. Local programs that received grants in the Fall 2025 grant cycle and which received
reimbursements (if funding available).
Grant amounts are based on the number of registered TOPS players in the program:
• Fewer than 50 players – max $500;
• 50 or more players – max $1,000;
• New programs – max $1,500.

All applications must be submitted by Sunday, March 22. Applicants will be notified by Tuesday,
March 31 if they receive an award. Awardees have until Sunday, June 7 to apply for reimbursement.
Process for Reimbursement:
1. Awardee submits online request for reimbursement.
a. Form includes player and volunteer numbers, number of sessions, and requires upload of a
single file containing copies of all receipts for items that are purchased.
b. All receipts must be dated after March 1, 2026.
2. Reimbursements may be submitted anytime after award but will held for processing until May
17 and June 7. The deadline for all reimbursements is June 7.
*Note: Funds must be used for expenses listed in the grant application. Changes to requested expenses
must be approved prior to use. All changes must be submitted to drobinson@usyouthsoccer.org
Organizations that submit receipts for unapproved expenses may not be reimbursed.
Acceptable Use of Funds for Local Programs:
1. Equipment (goals, balls, parachutes, and other specialty equipment);
2. Promotional signage and apparel that feature the USYS TOPS logo;
3. Marketing expenses (brochures, flyers, handouts);
4. Expenses for field rental in cases where field space is at a premium and not available for free;
5. Waiver for state’s player registration fees if the state does not already waive.
