2025-2026 CAL NORTH STATE CUP RECAP
RIPON, Calif. (December 6 & 7, 2025) - Cal North held the 2025-2026 Cal North State Cup for U9-U12 age groups on December 6th & 7th at the beautiful Mistlin Sports Park in Ripon, California.
Cal North State Cup is the designated national qualifier for the US Youth Soccer National Championships, this year marking a historic moment, as State Cup Champions advanced directly to Nationals in the U12-U19 age groups. Cal North Districts were well represented, with the exception of District 6 and District 9.
Two teams booked their ticket to nationals in the U12 age groups, with Water Futbol Farm from Hanford Youth Soccer League taking over by storm in both divisions.
Saturday proved to be a challenging day with rainy conditions for most part along with light sporadic winds throughout. Hundreds of families and players made their way to Mistlin Sports Park despite the conditions to compete for the highest State Cup recognition there is in the state.
The following day cleared up, but still had light rain. Some groups had determining final group stage matches that would help them move on to the State Cup finals, other brackets were round-robin where standings would determine the Champion after group play. All games were played on time and Champions & Finalists were recognized in front of their supportive families & teammates.
This event saw Water Futbol Farm U12 Boys become Back-2-Back Champions, but it would be Stockton TLJ FC the club with the most recognition after winning three out of seven posible finals.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (April 18 & 19, 2026) - Cal North hosted the 2025-2026 Cal North State Cup for U13-U19 age groups on April 18th & 19th at Granite Regional Park in Sacramento, California.
This event consisted of the older age groups taking the field for a direct ticket to the 2026 US Youth Soccer National Championships. The weekend proved have bright & sunny California weather with perfect clear skies.
Seven different brackets for the event, with one back-to-back State Cup Champion in AC Marin U13 Girls. Coach Will and his team will return to Nationals after getting a taste of national competition at the U12 level last summer and falling short in semis. This year they are determined to go further.
Another team that stood out this weekend were the U15 Girls from East Bay United Bay Oaks. After two previous failed attempts at at Cal North State Cup, Coach Alejandro Mendoza and the rest of the group finally got one.
A strong U14 Boys from Stockton TLJ FC led by coach Bryan Bustos Cruz gave a lot to talk about. Confident in their game, they came out victorious and claimed their first Cal North State Cup, along with booking their ticket to Salt Lake City this summer.
As a reminder, US Youth Soccer National Championships for U12 age groups will be taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah during the west sub-regional Presidents Cup event running from June 18-21, 2026.
The US Youth National Championships for U13-U19 age groups will be taking place in two different locations, with the Boys taking the field in Salt Lake City & Provo, Utah from July 13-23, 2026 and the Girls taking on their event in Murfreesboro & Smyrna, Tennessee from July 13-23, 2026.
