What happens if I registered online and then fail to bring my Registration and Medical Release Form to check in?

You will not be permitted to participate in that session. You must get to a computer, log back on to your account, print the Registration and Medical Release, get appropriate signatures and then check in for the next session. What happens if I registered, but forgot to pay for the try-outs?

As long as you have your Registration and Medical Form you can pay the try-out fee at check-in. Although it is best to pay in advance in order to save time at check in.

Where do I get the Recommendation Form for my DOC to sign?

There is no longer a separate Coach Recommendation form. A player must complete the online registration, and at the end of the session you will be instructed to print the Registration and Medical Release form, which has the Coach Recommendation (Section C) printed right on it.

What happens if I registered for try-outs, show up at check in and do not have the required signatures on the form?

You may not be permitted to participate. Section C (for all new players) must be signed by your league or Club Director of Coaching (this is very specific; it must be a DOC, not an administrator of coaches). For questions about this requirement, please contact the ODP Technical Director. Section D (Medical Release) must be signed by the parent or legal guardian for every player, there is no exceptions!

What can I do if I missed registering by September 1st?

Registration for ODP try-outs is now open until the last try-out in November; however the try-out cost will increase if you register on or after September 2nd. Please check the website for the fee details.

What should I bring to try-outs?

All players should bring their own ball, a water bottle and shin guards. We will provide numbered bibs. Please make sure you have your child’s name on anything that can be come lost.

What happens if I need to miss a Try-out (sick, conflict, family emergency...)?

Attending all the try-out sessions is not mandatory so missing any sessions will only affect you. Once you attend your first try-out and think you may be absent for other try-outs, just let the Head Coach know before you leave the field. If you fail to attend at least (1) try-out, you will not be eligible to be in the pool.

What happens if I get injured and must pull out of try-outs?

If you are injured and unable to attend ALL the try-outs (after you have registered) you will need to notify the office, and submit a letter from your physician stating you are unable to participate. The letter must include the following: injury, date of injury, and length of time for which you are unable to participate. At this point, a refund may be processed. If you attended at least (1) session there is No refund or partial refund.

What happens if I change my mind and do not wish to try-out?

After September 1st, there are no refunds (or partial refunds), unless you are injured (See statement above). To obtain a refund you must notify the office in writing, by 9/1.

When will I know if my child has made the team?

Players can be notified in several ways. Some coaches will announce at the last try-out who has made the pool and other coaches chose to have the final list posted on the Cal North website a few days after the last try-out. All coaches must make a decision and let the parents know, how they will announce the final pool.
