What is EPD?

What will high school age players receive after participating?

After you’ve signed up for one (1) Elite Development clinic/camp, you will be sent the following material
  1. Recruiting advice on what you should be doing as a Freshman, Sophomore,  Junior and/or Senior to market yourself to college coaches and NCAA rules
  2. Sample emails/letters to send to college coaches
  3. How to arrange an unofficial visit with a college program
  4. A sample soccer resume to send to a college coach
  5. 12 questions you could ask a college coach and 11 questions they might ask  you
  6. Email a specific recruiting question to Paul Sapsford, Cal North DoC and former  Stanford coach
  7. Nutrition advice for the elite soccer player
  8. Advice from sport psychology for the elite soccer player

Why Should I Participate in EPD Program?

It provides the participant with outstanding technical and tactical advice as well as opportunities for exposure to College Coaches. Part of development process is learning what it takes to become a complete player, which is why Cal North has integrated education into the EPD program around fitness, nutrition and sports psychology from some of the top minds involved in soccer.

Who should attend EPD events?

Competitive soccer players with a strong motivation to improve their technical, tactical and soccer IQ. Players looking to compete at the next level will learn from college coaches what it takes to play at the college level.

What are the benefits of EPD?

Outstanding coaching advice and exposure to college coaches. An opportunity to work with a high-level coaching staff that supplements the players overall development. To train, play and compete with the best players in the area.

Does EPD replace ODP participation?

No, it's a supplement to ODP, EPD expands the scope of Cal North’s identification, development and advancement mission by allowing for a larger number of players to be trained technically and tactically to compete at the elite level.

What age groups does the program cover?

This program is open to U13-U19 boys and girls.
