Soccer Expo 2013 set for April 12-14, 2013 in Beautiful South Lake Tahoe features a vendor show, clinics and workshops, and Hall of Fame Dinner and Banquet.
Pleasanton, CA (March 21, 2013) – The California Youth Soccer Association (Cal North) in conjunction with the Nevada Youth Soccer Association announced that Hope Solo, US Women’s National team player and two-time Olympic gold medalist, will be the Keynote Speaker at their annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Banquet. Hope has starred in goal for the USA at every age level of the U.S. National Team program. She solidified her standing as the world’s best female goalkeeper with a stellar performance during the Women’s World Cup in Germany. Hope’s consistent overall play throughout the tournament, earned her the Golden Glove as the top 'keeper at the WWC. She also won the Bronze Ball as the third best player, the first time a goalkeeper has received an award for being one of the top three players in the tournament. Hope followed up her stellar performance at the 2011 WWC by leading the US to the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Hope will be available for a Question and Answer session Saturday at the Vendor Show as well as being the Keynote Speaker Saturday evening at the Hall of Fame Dinner and Banquet, where Olympic teammates Megan Rapinoe and Stephanie Cox are to be inducted in the Cal North Hall of Fame.

Soccer Expo is a free event and is open to the public. This event is not just for soccer administrators and coaches, but for the whole family too! Along with the educational workshops and coaching clinics, there will be a vendor show, skills field, raffles and give-aways.
A limited number of seats remain for the Hall of Fame Dinner and Banquet, the annual celebration of the accomplishments by our members and volunteers. The event comes alive just after the lights have gone down on the Soccer Expo and kicks off with No Host Cocktails from 6:30PM - 7:30PM with Dinner and awards to follow from 7:30PM - 9:00PM.
