District IV Coaching Policy
Minimum
Requirements
District 4 Policy: All Class 1 & 3 head Coaches shall obtain an CYSA – E license and assist. Coaches will obtain an CYSA – F license.
*ALL DISTRICT IV (D-4) PLAYING LEAGUES CLASS 1 AND CLASS 3 HEAD COACHES THAT DO NOT CURRENTLY HOLD A CYSA F LIC. OF HIGHER WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND PASS THE CYSA F COACHING COURSE IN THE UPCOMING PLAYING SEASON AND ATTEND AND PASS THE CYSA E COACHING COURSE THE FOLLOWING SEASON.
*ALL D-4 CLASS 1 AND CLASS 3 HEAD COACHES THAT CURRENTLY HOLD A CYSA F LIC. WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND PASS THE CYSA E COACHING COURSE IN THE UPCOMING PLAYING SEASON.
*ALL D-4 CLASS 1 AND CLASS 3 HEAD COACHES THAT CURRENTLY HOLD A CYSA E LIC. OR HIGHER ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO CONTINUE THEIR COACHING EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THEIR COACHING CARREER
*ALL D-4 CLASS 1 AND CLASS 3 ASSISTANT COACHES WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND PASS THE CYSA F COACHING COURSE IN THE UPCOMING PLAYING SEASON AND WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO CONTINUE TO COACHING EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THEIR COACHING CARREER.
*ALL D-4 CLASS 4 and Rec. HEAD AND ASSIST. COACHES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO TAKE THE CYSA F COACHING COURSE AND TO CONTINUE THEIR COACHING EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THEIR COACHING CARRERR.
** NOTE ALL COACHES MUST COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE IF THEY ARE TO BE ISSUED A COACHES PASS. A new coach must obtain an CYSA- F Lic. their first yr. And an CYSA - E Lic. the following year.
** Effective Date: 2001/ 2002 playing Season, upgrades to take place prior to the 2002/ 2003 playing season.
Justification:
In order to better teach the players of District 4, we need a progressive Soccer Coaching Program that develops Coaching Skills at a rate compatible to that of the Players. This also will lay the basic foundation of Coaching uniformity with in D-4
Also in offering Coaching Clinics throughout the year, Coaches in our Recreation Program will be encouraged to attend and develop our House Programs, this hopefully will give our Players a better Quality Education in Soccer so they will remain in the sport longer.
