District III ODP Selection Process:
The selection process remains the same as last year. Accordingly, there will be no District III tryouts. Qualified players will be identified through their DOC club (Director of Coaching).
There will be no training at the district level before the State tryouts, as you do not go there as a team.
Players and parents, contact your club for ODP District registration.
If your new club is not aware of the ODP process, contact the District Coordinator, at
D3ODP@calnorth.org.
Your club coach is the best evaluator of your skills and ability to play at the ODP level. Therefore, he/she should submit a list of ODP qualified players to his/her DOC. In turn, the DOC only will email the list of players who are qualified to participate at the State ODP tryouts to the district coordinator at:
D3ODP@calnorth.org by July 1, 2012.
Important Notes to Remember:
At the ODP State Tryouts: Wear Black shorts/ White background T-shirt/White socks/Cleats. Bring a properly inflated soccer ball & drinking water. Come prepared and have FUN!!!
For any updates to the ODP State Tryouts 2-3 weeks prior to September 1st, 2012, and more information please see the
Olympic Development Program page. A player who is selected at the District III level to be in the state tryouts is responsible to check the
Olympic Development Program page. If a player did not make the list of ODP eligible players and wishes to contest, an evaluation will be required from your DOC or equivalent attesting that you are qualified to be in the ODP State pool and should be sent to the District Coordinator at
D3ODP@calnorth.org before or on July 1st, 2012.
Past July 1st, the DOC (Director of coaching) can send the player list directly to the main office.
