Cal North Association Cup offers a level of play for teams in the entry level or mid-level Competitive categories in the U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 and U19 age groups. Typically teams that enter Association Cup compete in the Copper, Bronze or Silver Divisions of CCSL or in other comparable Cal North playing leagues. Teams should be aware that the championship teams from Association Cup do not advance beyond the Cal North state-level competition. Higher-level Competitive (typically Silver Elite or Gold teams) that wish to compete for the chance to advance to Region IV Presidents Cup should consider entering Presidents Cup. Because U14 Association Cup takes place in winter, U14 Competitive teams with numerous players on their roster who also participate in their high school’s winter soccer season may wish to consider the Cal North Presidents Cup as an alternative to Association Cup. Entry level or mid-level U17 and U18 teams have the option of entering the U19 age group of Association Cup or can opt to apply to the Presidents Cup U17 divisions. U9-U11 Association Cup will be played in December. U12-U14 Association Cup is planned for January. U15-U19 Association Cup will be played in March and early April.
