Cal North and its districts provided the $177,000 to thirty-three (33) teams attending the regional events. In addition to the Cal North BOD direct player stipends, the Cal North Districts provided their local teams $90,000 in stipends. Cal North provided additional assistance to cover the team referee fees and parking fees as well as the $500 per team entry fees paid directly to US Youth Soccer.of Directors has announced, in addition to the $56,000 that the Board approved as direct stipends to the players attending Regional Presidents Cup and Far West Regionals, a total of $177,000 in stipends, subsidies and entry fee payments were given to its teams, advancing to regional competitions this summer.
Cal North Chairman Dr. Pete Zopfi stated, "It is the CYSA Cal North Board of Directors privilege to support our competitive players, families and teams as they compete in the US Youth Soccer Regional and National Championships."
Cal North is extremely proud of the U15 Girls Foothill MVLA Mercury Black, U16 Girls Foothill MVLA Lightning, and the U17 Girls Central Valley Chilipeppers, that successfully advanced from the Far West Regional event and earned a spot at the 2012 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The 2012 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, will be held July 11 -15 at Cherry Island Soccer Complex in Sacramento, California.
