Cal North
At their December 2010 meeting, the Board of Directors of CYSA passed a resolution that changes the current registration document retention policies. Leagues and districts no longer are required the retain registration forms beyond the current seasonal year for which they are used. Previously CYSA required that the leagues and districts keep the California Youth Soccer Association Membership Form (Form #1601) until the player reached his/her 18th birthday and required that the Staff Registration and Risk Management Disclosure Form (Form 1628) be kept for five years.
The new document retention policy:
Effective 12/05/2010, leagues and districts may destroy the CYSA Membership forms (Form 1601), Team Official Registration & Risk Management Disclosure Forms (Form 1628), Team Roster Change Forms (Form 1606) and any other paperwork related to registration at the conclusion of each seasonal year (August 31st ). All registration related paperwork must be shredded in order to protect personal information.
