2012 / 2013 season–Cal North simplifies playing labels with Competitive, Recreational, and TOPSoccer designations replacing the division1, division 3, division 4R, division 4 NR and division 5 designations.
December – Cal North in partnership with NSCAA will be offering a combined course that will cover curriculum for both the Cal North F License and the NSCAA Level 3 Diploma. Coaches who take this course will receive upon completion both the Cal North F License and the NSCAA Level 3 Diploma.
November – Cal North announces Multifaceted Partnership with NSCAA . Providing exclusive benefits for Cal North Coaches and Clubs.
October – Cal North creates open cup for Jr. Cup festival. Event open to any team affiliated with US Soccer.
September – Cal North Launches Online Inquiry claim reporitng system in conjunction wtih Pullen Insurance.
September – Online E-Travel System implemented--Cal North's simple online system for travel approval.
August – Partnership with Zavvy Banners announced.
July – Cal North hosts US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup Finals at Cherry Island Soccer Complex.
July – Cal North Adopts Long Term Strategic Plan with Strategia
June – Cal North Olympic Devlopment Program begins planning Subregional ODP event.
June – Cal North Board of Directors announce $177,000 provided to teams attending US Youth Soccer Regional Championship events
June – Cal North announces Paul Sapsford as the new Director of Coaching Recreational
June – Cal North awarded management contract of Cherry Island Soccer Complex for an additional 20 years.
June – Cal North announces strategic partnerships with Positive Coaching Alliance, iSoccer, and Zaavy Banners. Each new partner brings industry leading technology and experience, along with pricing discounts and exclusive product offerings.
May – Cal North creates Recreational Soccer Symposiums to provide Recreation Soccer Administrators a snap shot of the many membership benefits and values only available from Cal North.
April - California Youth Soccer Association launches new website. The new website includes; a translation feature that has 52 languages, mobile version for web-enabled PDA’s, printable pages, search and filter feature allowing users to locate information quickly, Social media integration with Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube allowing critical information to be delivered to end-users instantly.
April – To better brand the association to its roots and rich history in Northern California a new logo was introduced, highlighting our 43 years as THE soccer association in Cal North
March – Cal North introduces new tournament procedures, new online program, and website for sanctioned tournaments to simplify the application/hosting process. The site has a search feature offering users the ability to search by a number of data fields; date, age group, gender, competition level
March – Cal North announces new coaching curriculum that follows the new USSF curriculum. New courses include; two youth modules and the USSF E course.
January-February – Cup Series Champs decided during Cal North's annual Cup Series Games.
